By far, my favorite part of the speaking tour was the genuinely interested and thankful responses from kids who came to our speeches. One kid told me that hearing my story made him want to share his story with his family because they don’t know all the problems he faces. He might have been 13. Incredible.
I guess it was stupid of me to think we might get some down time after the speaking tour.
Shannon and I have a phone interview with the Today show this afternoon. Then my dad and Shannon and I are being picked up tonight to go spend a few days in New York City because Katie Couric got wind of our roadtrip adventure and wants us to be on her show to talk about it!
It’s all happening!! So proud of you guys!! Keep it up.
It was an all around beautiful day spent with my friends on the roadtrip, except when I tried drinking straight rum and went into a coma for two days.
Just kidding. No coma.
Happy 21st to this guy. Happy birthday Shane. You are the coolest dude I kinda know. :)
We have five days left to reach our fundraising goal! If all of you donated $1, we would reach our goal seven times over. Probably 20 times over if you also shared on your networks! I promise this documentary will be the funniest thing you have ever seen.
